Jules Ramage (1987, France) est un artiste visuel intersexe. Docteur en Sémiologie du Texte et de l’Image, il est aussi chercheur associé au laboratoire CERILAC d’Université Paris-Cité, et membre de la Cité du Genre, institut interdisciplinaire de recherche en études de genre. Il explore les relations de pouvoir mises en jeu dans les structures disciplinaires et institutionnelles. Depuis 2013, il poursuit un travail de terrain approfondi dans l’espace carcéral, où il implante des protocoles collaboratifs intégrant personnes détenues et surveillant-es. Il collabore notamment avec un groupe d’hommes détenus au sein de la maison centrale de Poissy, constitué en 2015 dans le cadre de la Section des Etudiants Empêchés, programme d’enseignement porté par l’université de Paris. Au fil des années, le groupe prend son autonomie et prend l’identité d’un collectif de recherche-création collaborative. Il noue également une relation spécifique avec la Maison d’arrêt de Fleury-Mérogis, où il met en place des programmes de recherche-création collectifs.  
Son travail a été présenté en France, aux États-Unis, en Argentine, en Angleterre, en Espagne et en Allemagne. Il a été résident du CENTQUATRE-Paris, de la Cité internationale des arts, des Ateliers Médicis et du Fresnoy-studio national des arts contemporains. 

Jules Ramage (1987, France) is an intersex visual artist and researcher. Associated with the CERILAC laboratory at the University of Paris, he is also a member of the Cité du Genre, interdisciplinary research institute in gender studies. He explores the relationships of power at play in disciplinary and institutional structures. Since 2013, he has conducted in-depth fieldwork in the prison space, where he implements collaborative protocols with inmates as well as prison guards. He works mainly with a group of men detained in the central prison of Poissy, formed in 2015 as part of the Section des Etudiants Empêchés, a teaching program run by the University of Paris. Over the years, the group has become self-sufficient, and, under the management of Jules Ramage, it has taken on the identity of a collaborative research-creation collective. Jules Ramage also forged a specific relationship with the Fleury-Mérogis prison, where he set up collective research-creation programs. His work has been exhibited in France, the United States, Argentina, England, Spain, and Germany. He was a resident at CENTQUATRE-Paris, Cité internationale des arts, Ateliers Médicis, Fresnoy-studio national des arts contemporains.
